Washington DC – July 21, 2019 – Report by Dr. June Knight
Many Christians over the years have been hesitant of the United State’s role in the United Nations (UN). This organization pushes a globalist agenda (Called Agenda 2030 – previously Agenda 21). However, we have one Congressman who is working to pull us out of this globalist agenda. It seems to not be advancing in the house and a slow advancement. I suspect it is because of the UN’s globalist agenda, which the Democrats have partnered with. This bill is:
Rep. Rogers, Mike D. [R-AL-3] (Introduced 01/03/2019)
American Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2019
This bill directs the President to terminate U.S. membership in the United Nations (U.N.) and all affiliated bodies. It also ends U.S. participation in all U.N. conventions and agreements.
Funds may be appropriated to facilitate U.S. withdrawal from the U.N. No funds may be made available for contribution to or paid to any U.N. body. No member of the U.S. Armed Forces may serve under U.N. command, and no funds may be used to support Armed Forces participation in U.N. military operations.
The bill also repeals diplomatic immunity for officers and employees of the U.N. and for officers and employees of foreign government missions to the U.N.
The bill repeals various acts related to the U.N., including the United Nations Participation Act, the United Nations Headquarters Agreement Act, the United Nations Environment Program Participation Act, and joint resolutions establishing U.S. membership in the World Health Organization and the U.N. Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization.
Why is this important to the church? This is very important because the goal of the UN is to remove America’s sovereignty. When you examine Agenda 2030, you understand that they want all states (nations) to become governed by the UN. They want us to be inclusive in all areas – religion, communities, etc. They are heavily pushing the LGBTQ inclusion and is basically an assault on Christianity as a whole. A true Christian cannot and must not partner with the LGBTQ agenda. We cannot partner with perversion. It is a stench in God’s nostrils. We must “come out from among them and be ye separate” as the word states.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
The latest action by the UN to help the LGBTQ agenda is:
In a related development, UNHCR has added its support to a UN-appointed independent rights expert’s call for many more States to increase protection for the LGBTI community and to be more aware of their “unique vulnerability”.
Today, only 37 States grant asylum to individuals on the basis of persecution based on sexual orientation or gender identity, according to UNHCR’s Assistant High Commissioner for Protection, Volker Türk, and the UN Independent Expert Victor Madrigal-Borloz.
“For many LGBTI people, the trauma and persecution start well before their actual flight to safety,” Mr. Madrigal Borloz said. “Persecution often manifests through laws that criminalise sexual orientation, gender identity or expression or that are discriminatory.”
LGBTI people are also exposed to disproportionate levels of arbitrary detention, police abuse, violence and extrajudicial killings by both State and non-State actors, the Independent Expert said, “as well as abuse in medical settings, including forced sterilisations and so-called ‘conversion therapies’”.
Echoing that message, Mr. Turk added that many LGBTI refugees continue to face prejudice and violence in countries of transit and host countries.
Türk said that, even in locations where LGBTI refugees are more accepted and services are accessible, many choose to conceal their sexual orientation and gender identity for fear they might be targeted or marginalised, particularly in densely populated areas.
It is therefore crucial to create safe spaces and services that are designed in consultation with LGBTI people and their organisations.
